AISUS has announced its first major contract win in Renewables industry

This marks an important milestone for AISUS in its aim to deliver remote inspection solutions globally across multiple industries, including renewables, oil and gas, petrochemical and nuclear.

The inspection project saw AISUS complete two full caisson inspection scopes, including high-pressure cleaning, remote visual and ultrasonic inspection. The inspection campaign was completed for German transmission system operator offshore energy company TenneT on a converter platform off the coast of Germany.

Andrew Mitchell, Business Development Manager at AISUS, commented: “Entering the Renewables market is a massive breakthrough for the company and truly a reflection of our successful growth strategy, and dedication to provide market leading services. We have seen an exponential increase in demand for AISUS’ capabilities globally across industries, and project types, which demonstrates the adaptability and innovation of our inspection solutions.”

“Innovation, continuous improvement and high adaptability is what sets us apart in the market of inspection solutions providers. The process of providing tailored inspections solutions for gathering accurate and reliable inspection data from tubulars, in challenging and difficult to access areas, is what AISUS is becoming world renowned for.” Mr Mitchell added.

Alongside deploying its in-house developed and tested ultrasonic inspection tool SIRIUS®, AISUS designed a new tailored scanning tool capable of gathering wall-thickness data around the 4 metre radius caisson bend.

This innovative tooling was designed and manufactured to inspect larger diameter caissons from 20” upwards. AISUS have the capability to design, develop, and manufacture inspection systems tailored to various types of project demands, and to adapt to current industry needs.

Mat Meredith, Technical Director of AISUS said: ‘Since the company was formed in 2013 we have invested heavily in Research and Development, not only to design and develop bespoke inspection tools, but also to find ways to make our tooling and reporting system adaptable to various operational environments, and client requirements. Achieving this adaptability in our systems is definitely one of the key areas that sets us apart from other inspection companies in the market. ’

“Entering the renewables market will enable us to harness and expand our expertise, broaden our product range and geographical reach, as we look to fulfil our ambition of becoming a world leader in innovative inspection solutions.”
