For AISUS and Cavitas Energy, 2025 has been defined by international growth, innovation, and continued expansion into new energy sectors. Through advanced inspection technologies, intelligent data solutions, ground-breaking extra heavy oil extraction and bold steps into emerging markets, both AISUS and Cavitas have strengthened global presence and demonstrated the true power of collaboration across the Valor Energy Group.

Operations: AISUS Going Global

Safer, Smarter Inspections in the Middle East: Tailored Inspection Solutions:
After several years operating in the region, 2025 marked a major shift towards safer and intelligent inspection solutions. AISUS delivered multiple high-value projects with major operators, including visual and ultrasonic caisson inspections one of which identified 250 defects across four caissons. Growth in the Middle East has been fast paced, supported by new offices and regional facilities to support local operations. Explore our Case Studies in the region.
Breaking into New Markets:
AISUS also advanced into new onshore applications, conducting stereoscopic robotic inspections on cyclone refractory linings across Houston and Canada. Our stereoscopic camera generated fully interactive 3D models, while our internal tool navigated the confined cyclone geometry enabling precise, safe inspections ahead of repeat projects in 2026. Our Team, Our Strength

New Talent & Promotions: 2025 welcomed new team members across engineering, sales, marketing, and data science alongside well-earned promotions within our technical leadership teams. Read More in Our Recent Appointment Update.
A major milestone included Stuart McNab’s appointment as Middle East Manager, strengthening relationships with regional clients as AISUS continues to internationalise.
We also welcomed Zargham, our new Intelligent Systems Engineer, who is accelerating our integration of AI into asset integrity management with predictive corrosion and defect analysis.

Inspiring the Next Generation: AISUS continued its commitment to community engagement in regions we operate. Barry and Stuart visited The British International School Abu Dhabi, presenting to over 50 students and parents from the engineering society. Data Wizards: Enhancing Asset Management with AI

AI-Driven Predictive Integrity: Our data team has pushed boundaries this year, using machine learning to size defects with precision and applying AI to predict corrosion rates forecasting when structure components will require repair.

Engineering Innovation

Cavitas continued to push the boundaries of carbon-efficient thermal technology in 2025, filing six new patents driven by client demand. Developed by the Cavitas engineering team, these innovations expand THOR’s deployment across the full value chain, from surface to midstream and downstream, helping operators unlock previously stranded fields and maximise asset value. THOR’s Global Impact

Cavitas continues to expand globally with several deployments across the Middle East and North America. In both cases unlocking billions of barrels of reserves which had previously not been developable with existing technologies. Hear from Our Agents, as Kuwait struggles with heavy oil production.
This expansion is due to continue at the end of 2025 and into 2026 to focus for growth transferring to South America with deployments across multiple countries and the opportunity for Cavitas to enter into JVs for field development, a natural progression for a system that can realise the true value of stranded assets around the globe.

Collaboration and Partnerships

In 2025, Cavitas’ global agent network continued to go from strength to strength, now spanning over 30 countries and supporting the majority of global oil production regions. Working closely with our in-country agents allows Cavitas to maximise local expertise, build trusted partnerships, and gain invaluable cultural insight. Got a problem in your region? Alongside this, Cavitas has strengthened collaborations with leading technology innovators worldwide. This includes joint R&D projects with Tier 1 service companies exploring how THOR could transform well construction, as well as partnerships with progressive technology firms advancing solutions in hydrogen production and gas lift.

Strengthening Global Relationships

Graeme and Ewen continued to build strategic partnerships across the MENA region and South America, engaging with operators, investors, and clients in Ecuador, Mexico, and Kuwait. These relationships are paving the way for expanded deployments and new opportunities in 2026.  Key highlights included meeting with Ecuadorian Chamber of Commerce to bolster brand awareness and partnership in the region and contract signing with new client experiencing heavy oil challenges. Team Growth and Talent

This summer, we welcomed Alix, joining Cavitas as a marketing intern. With a background in musical theatre and a strong professional eye, she brings creative energy to our visual communications and marketing materials, focusing on content and video creation.
At the start of the year, Cavitas were incredibly proud to be recognised for the Offshore Achievement Award for Emerging Technology. What began as a small team has grown into a dynamic global force, driving innovation in oil recovery technology. Being recognised alongside such esteemed finalists was an achievement in itself.
